A welcome in any language
We read submissions from authors and translators of every nationality, first language and literary tradition. English need not be your first language; it need only be where your book is heading.
Authors & Translators
Contributors credited across the POL International catalogue — authors, editors and translators of poetry, fiction, magazine issues and eBooks. A catalogue credit documents a contribution to a listed title; it does not imply an exclusive publishing relationship, a signed contract or an endorsement.
§1How We Work
We read submissions from authors and translators of every nationality, first language and literary tradition. English need not be your first language; it need only be where your book is heading.
Translation is creative work. Translators are credited prominently, paid fairly and involved in editorial decisions about the texts they carry into English.
We edit closely and collaboratively. Structural work, line editing and proofreading are conversations, not corrections handed down.
We are interested in careers, not single books — and in readers who will follow a writer from one language into many.
§2The Roster
Every name below is credited on a published POL title. Biographies are drawn from the catalogue; where a fuller biography or approved photograph is not yet available, the contributor is listed with their verified credits only.
